Oops! Ruined the surprise! ;) These little beauties were a suggestion of our friend, Sam, a cookie dough enthusiast. They are dark chocolate cakes with a ball of frozen cookie dough inside (egg-free), topped with a delicious pink vanilla icing. These were such a hit! Only one of our friends guessed the surprise filling on his first try! Skev sure knows his cookie dough! :)
Two baketresses with one mission: to create beautifully delicious cupcakes to be enjoyed by all.
Welcome!

Banana Cream Pie Cupcakes
We decided to do something a little different for our friend Alley's potluck. Turns out banana cream pie is her favorite treat, so these fabulous little cakes were just the ticket! Each cupcake had its own crust and banana pudding filling, topped with vanilla buttercream icing and mini chocolate chips. YUM!
SHARK WEEK!
We watched a TON of Discovery Channel shows during Shark Week ('cause we're nerdy like that) and were inspired to create a yummy cupcake to go with Jaws and friends. After searching far and wide for gummy sharks, we finally created these dangerously good treats! The chocolate cake is topped with ocean-colored vanilla icing, gummy sharks (of course), and red decorating gel for blood! Once again.... a bloody delicious creation!

Campfire Cupcakes
Our good friend Amanda went to California for the month of August, so we had to make her some going-away cupcakes! Much of her trip included camping, so these delicious cakes were just the ticket! They are a chocolate cake topped with peanut butter icing, pretzel sticks for firewood, and orange-colored icing for flames. To die for!

Cupcakes to Die For...
Kyle and I have been getting pretty excited these past few weeks in anticipation of the True Blood season premier tonight. In honor of this epic event we set out to create some exciting, vampire themed cupcakes with the help of our friend, Alley.
We began with a white cake batter base, injected them with homemade strawberry filling (in appropriate vampiric fashion), frosted them with red buttercream, and topped them with vampire fang shaped fondant. Bloody delicious!

For all you True Blood fans out there, enjoy tonight's episode! Wish you could enjoy these treats with us :)

Birthday Cupcakes
Tonight, there is a wonderful joint birthday party (Kyle and Sam's 24th), so we had to make something delish. The lovely Amanda Sullivan helped to create these lusciously delicious chocolate cupcakes with strawberry icing and cream filling.
Thanks Mr. Sullivan for letting us use your decorating tools!

Sandy Critters
This weekend, Em and I are headed north to hang with some good buddies. OF COURSE we had to make cupcakes for the occasion and we had just the theme in mind... SUMMER! We did some research and here's what we came up with...
The graham cracker crumbles create PERFECT sand! All the critters are 100% edible and homemade!
Cardcakes
For last Saturday's Christopher Lopez Scholarship Fundraiser Boat Cruise, Emily and I decided to take a gamble and experiment with edible paper. Here's what we came up with...
Cutting out all those shapes was a pain! But with the help of our friend Diego and my parents, we made 120 of these cuties just in time for the cruise!
